A. L. Merrill, LLC specializes in flatbed transports. Additionally, one of A. L. Merrill, LLC’s short-term goals is to provide reliable transport service to mills, distilleries, breweries, farmers and other businesses in the northeast region. We support local farmers.

According to Bob Costello, chief economist at the American Trucking Associations, in 2016, there were 36,000 truckers in demand in the U.S.; then in 2017, the U.S. was short 51,000 truckers.

Behind the scenes – Our story
A. L. Merrill, LLC was incorporated on February 9, 2016 in the state of New York. Andy L. Merrill, the sole proprietor, is a United States Army veteran, small town farm boy turned family man, and vocational school alumnus (for trucking and diesel). To date, he has accumulated more than 20 years driving semi-trucks. He holds a CDL Class A license.
A.L. Merrill, LLC is a trucking company based out of Northern New York that specializes in transporting agricultural goods for small- to medium-sized grain, flour and feed mills in the northeast region.
A. L. Merrill is a single member limited liability company owned solely by Andy L. Merrill of Adams, New York, originally Rodman, New York. Owner, Andy L. Merrill, has continued driving trucks after he retired from the Army. He has driven for local farmers and helped them increase revenue, even during the winter when most farmers are struggling to make ends meet. ALM will continue building and establishing rapport within the local, agricultural, and transportation community with its positive reputation, professionalism, and respectable attitude.

Andy L. Merrill
Owner
Andy L. Merrill served in the army for 16 years, where he drove wreckers. That’s where his passion for driving trucks started. But his love for trucks was always present. He had previously gone to school to become a mechanic at a trade school in Connecticut, trekking through the North Country winter storms so he would get the most out of his tuition. Andy grew up in the rural village of Rodman, New York, where he and his family owned their own dairy farm. He ran tractors and other machinery. So, when he gets to a destination, he doesn’t just park the truck and say, “here you go.” ALM is a full service company that is willing to get out of the cab, help the grain and feed mill employees with what they need, and consider all of their clients a part of the overall company. We are a partnership, not just another shipping vessel.
